Description
Multiple Higgs boson production will give access to new Higgs interactions that are totally unconstrained with the current LHC data. The Higgs mass has been accurately measured and the Higgs couplings to matter fields have been determined at the 10-20% level and will be further improved during the next run. Higgs pair production (HH) will give access to multiple Higgs interactions, such as the Higgs triple self-coupling and, in addition, the coupling of two Higgs bosons to two gauge bosons, to two fermions, and to new particles.

In the last two years an enormous progress has been made on several aspects of Higgs pair production at the LHC: the theoretical accuracy on the production cross section has substantially improved, new decay channels have been proposed and preliminary studies are available which are based on sophisticated techniques such as jet-substructure and shower deconstruction, Monte Carlo event generation can now be performed at the NLO level and the effects of new physics have been studied in several concrete models, finding that this process can deviate significantly from the SM prediction while having agreement with current Higgs data.

The goal of this workshop is to gather together theoreticians (from the QCD, BSM and Monte Carlo communities) and LHC experimentalists to analyze the status of HH production studies.
