Virtual Workshop
Description

In recent years, the study of single-valued periods has proven interesting to both physicists and mathematicians, in particular in the field of scattering amplitudes where some physical quantities are naturally expressed in terms of these functions.

Scientific exchange between mathematicians and physicists is therefore paramount, as the physics might indicate interesting structures overlooked by mathematicians and mathematicians offer the needed rigor to study these functions properly.

In this three-day workshop we aim to bring together young researchers working on single-valued periods and related functions which appear in scattering amplitudes.

The goal is to give young researchers an opportunity to present their recent work, share techniques and establish new connections which can lead to collaborations.

The workshop will have three main topics:

- The formal mathematical side of single-valued periods.

- (Single-valued) functions in Feynman integrals.

- Single-valued functions in string theory scattering amplitudes both at tree- and loop-level.
