Description
The P2 experiment at the MESA accelerator will require highly accurate polarimters.
At least two polarimters are under development which promise to yield imporivement, with a potential to achieve systematic errors of below 0.5%. The first device is a double scattering Mott polarimter, the other a Möller polarimter based on a atomic trap for hydrogen atoms (Hydro-Moeller-Polrimter) The status of these devices summarized.
