On Friday morning, the PRISMA Detector Lab is organizing a Hands-on Training session for our young participants. After a short introduction to organic scintillators and photo sensors, the participants will use a number of table-top experimental kits to set up a pair of plastic scintillators read out by SiPMs. They will be guided to take the setup into operation, acquire scintillation signals, and form a coincidence of the scintillator pair to select on cosmic muons.
Start is at 9:00 am in the Medienraum 03-431, same room as used on Thursday.
