Workshop Venue
The MITP workshop will be held at castle Waldthausen Budenheim. Schloss Waldthausen is located outside the city center of Mainz in a remote and quiet area. The city of Mainz can be reached via bus or taxi. Recreation facilities (gym hall etc.) are available to guests by prior reservation free of charge. Parking is also available without charge.
Arrival by plane
From Frankfurt/Main airport “Regionalbahnhof“ (local railway station, Terminal 1) you either take S8 (direction: Wiesbaden Hbf) or Regionalbahn (local train) to Mainz Hbf. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Tickets are available at ticket machines located at the local railway station. Remember that you will need to obtain a ticket before boarding the train. From Frankfurt-Hahn airport take a bus shuttle to Mainz (see http://hahn.orn-online.de/busfahrplan_mainz.htm). The ride takes 70 minutes.

Bus connection to Schloss Waldthausen
From Mainz main station take bus line 64 (direction: Budenheim Bahnhof) to Schloss Waldthausen. The bus leaves every 20 minutes during the day. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Detailed information about timetables can be found here: www.rmv.de/en. A taxi ride takes about 15 minutes and cost appr. 25 EUR.
Accommodation during the workshop
We have made room reservations for you at Schloss Waldthausen from Tuesday 1 April to the afternoon of Saturday 5 April 2014 including full-board.
For participants who arrive on Monday, 31 March, hotel reservations have been made in Mainz. Detailed information will be circulated individually.

Recreational facilities Schloss Waldthausen
The workshop venue offers a wide variety of facilities for recreation after and before the official workshop program. Facilities include soccer field, bowling, and sauna. All facilities can be used upon reservation at the reception. Also, the location is nice for short hiking excursions and evening walks. So, do not forget to bring sports shoes and comfortable clothing if you want to make use of these facilities.
Internet/Conference technology
Free wireless internet access is provided not only in the main building and in the conference room, but also in the guest rooms. The lecture hall is equipped with a projector and white board.

There will be another workshop on the muon anomalous magnetic moment as direct continuation of the MITP workshop - also on the JGU Campus. This activity is open to theorists and experimentalists and focuses on the future measurements at FNAL and JPARC. You are encouraged to register for this event.
