Description
I will be discussing infinite derivative theories of gravity as a perturbative effective field theory of gravity, which in the ultraviolet can become asymptotically free. I will discuss their classical and quantum properties
around Minkowski and deSitter backgrounds. I will show how to resolve cosmological singularity problem and I will discuss perturbations around deSitter background. Action which resolves cosmological singularity also gives rise to an ultraviolet completion for Starobinsky inflation. Therefore, a non-singular bounce followed by a period of cosmic inflation can lead to a successful classical and quantum prediction for our Universe. There are some
smoking gun signatures for tensor to scalar ratio which I will describe.
Suggestions
I can give an overview of Ghost free and Singularity free Infinite derivative theory of gravity, where I can present both Lagrangian and Hamiltonian analysis- based on my recent work:https://arxiv.org/pdf/1701.01009.pdf and https://arxiv.org/pdf/1606.01250.pdf
However, I leave the option open to the organisers. I would follow what ever they think is right for the workshop. In which case, I am equally happy to present a 45 minutes talk.
Overview or Regular Talk? | Overview: 75 min. |
