The last decade has borne witness to a paradigm shift in mechanical quantum sensing technologies, with novel sensors in recent years unlocking exciting opportunities to probe new fundamental physics scenarios including dark matter (DM), fifth forces and gravitational waves (GWs). This workshop will bring together experts in experimental quantum sensing with leaders from the theoretical particle physics communities to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, generate new ideas to fully exploit the potential of mechanical quantum sensors for fundamental physics, and establish a consensus on the research directions to prioritize in the future.
The workshop will open with both experimental and theoretical talks which will review the current experimental landscape and theory of mechanical quantum sensing, as well as DM/GW effects in these sensors. This will be followed by a mix of invited and contributed talks and group discussion sessions.
