Registration closes 15 February 2026 11:59 P.M. CET.

The MITP program “ALPs across scales” aims to provide a guideline for future research on axions and ALPs, which play a central role in many extensions of the Standard Model. The workshop will bring together different perspectives, from theory to experiment, to map out the current landscape and future directions.

Key themes include:

  • Assessing the variety of ALP models and motivations:
    • light ALPs inspired by string theory and dark matter
    • conventional QCD axions
    • heavy ALPs accessible to flavor and collider experiments
  • Identifying the main open questions in axion theory
  • Discussing which models can already be tested with present data
  • Exploring which experimental probes will be both desirable and feasible in the future
