Description
In this talk we explore the landscape of F-theory compactifications from two directions. In the first approach we consider the simplest complex structure moduli space, the thrice-punctured sphere, and enumerate all corresponding Calabi-Yau fourfolds by monodromy considerations. In the second we explore the landscape of flux vacua with a vanishing superpotential, both from a general Hodge-theoretic point of view and by considering explicit examples.
