Description

Quantum techniques can offer a fresh perspective on the problems posed by lattice gauge theories. Applying these techniques to lattice gauge theories, nevertheless, poses its own set of challenges. The topic has matured in the last years thanks to the combined effort of experts from different fields, i.e. High Energy and Condensed Matter Physics, Quantum Information and Applied Mathematics. Only a close collaboration of these different research areas will allow its effective progress.

Following up on the previous MITP workshop celebrated in February 2017, this interdisciplinary workshop aims at articulating the necessary exchange among experts from different communities by ensuring sufficient time for discussions and contributions at different levels.

Key participants (list in progress):

Monika Aidelsburger (LMU), Marcello Dalmonte (SISSA), Michal P. Heller (Univ. Ghent), Henry Lamm (Fermilab), Maciej Lewenstein (ICFO), Enrique Rico (EHU), Luca Tagliacozzo (IFF)
