The workshop is devoted to electromagnetic processes and their role in advancing our understanding of low-energy nuclear physics and related areas. With the goal of exploring the full potential of the future accelerator MESA and the MAGIX detector, presently being constructed in the Mainz Campus, the workshop aims at identifying relevant electromagnetic observables, which should be measured with the upcoming facilities. Theoretical input is necessary to identify the impact of key observables and to motivate new experiments. Modern related topics will be covered, such as the role of three-nucleon forces and their calibrations, the impact of two-body currents, the study of electron scattering as a tool to understand neutrino scattering, and the relevance of elastic versus inelastic observables. We plan to have a few talks per day with plenty of time for informal discussions.
