The workshop “New Ways to Discover Light New Physics” is centered on the multidisciplinary exploration of light new particles, which are anticipated in several theoretical extensions of the Standard Model related to, e.g., the strong CP-problem, the axion quality problem, the hierarchy problem, the flavor puzzle or the nature of dark matter. We aim to establish benchmark parameters for theoretical models motivated by these questions and propose novel strategies to explore uncharted areas of the parameter space. To this end we will assess the current status of the experimental reach and discuss the complementarity of different experimental approaches with a focus on pioneering experimental techniques and strategies tailored towards the detection of light new particles, especially light dark matter.
