The goals of the MITP workshop are:
- Overall aim: Bring together mathematicians and theoretical physicists to advance our understanding of positive geometries which describe scattering amplitudes and other observables in various theories.
- Combine our understanding of positive geometries in theories of scalar and gauge fields and in gravity to provide a unified geometric framework for scattering amplitudes in these theories.
- Strengthen the mathematical foundations for positive geometries and perform systematic studies of their properties drawing methods from combinatorics, geometry and algebraic geometry.
- Explore connections of positive geometries to cosmology as well as worldsheet and string theories.
