DESCRIPTION:Registration closed on 19 June 11:59 P.M. CET.\nIn the present
edition of the "Critical stability of few-body quantum systems"\nworkshop
the contributions shall come from a number of sub-fields like quantum che
 mistry\, mathematical\, atomic\, molecular\, condensed matter\, hadron and
nuclear physics. Each field will be represented by lively participants fr
om many different countries with broad interests in few-body physics. A pr
eliminary list of topics includes:\nUniversality in Few-Body Physics\nFini
te-range corrections to universality  From few to many degrees of freedom
 \nOne- and two-dimensional systems\nDimensional crossover and constrained
systems Multicomponent systems Effective Field Theory formulations Structu
re and Reactions in weakly bound systems.\nWe intend to have a total of 9
sessions\, each session with around three speakers.\nStarting on Monday (a
rrival on Sunday) and finishing on Friday afternoon. In each session we pl
an talks of 30 minutes followed by 15 minutes of discussions. After the fi
rst two talks a break of 30 minutes\, and a discussion session of 30 minut
es at the end.\nOne of the aims will be to promote discussions between exp
erimental and theoretical colleagues.\nThe topical workshop "Critical Stab
ility of Few-Body Quantum Systems" has a broad scope embracing few-body qu
antum systems at the edge between stability and instability\, in atomic\,
nuclear and hadronic physics. The main purpose is to bring people together
from the different communities\, experimental as well as theoretical rese
archers\, to focus on the interdisciplinary aspects of techniques\, method
s\, concepts and ideas surpassing the specialization of the different sub-
fields of physics. Inside the critical stability region many systems show
universal behavior and\, in spite of the difficulty to identify similariti
es among the approaches in several fields\, the effort in this direction m
ay be very useful. The progress in science would clearly be faster if we c
ould "speak the same language" and immediately distribute the knowledge fr
om one field to another. Developing collaborations crossing the sub-field
barriers is an efficient method to spread new insights. The aim of this wo
rkshop is the improvement of the flux of information between the subareas
of Few-Body Physics and\, at the same time\, between the experimental and
 the theoretical research.\n\nhttps://indico.mitp.uni-mainz.de/event/458/
