Description
The hunt for physics beyond the Standard Model is currently entering a new epoch. Traditional elephants in the room, such as high energy colliders or searches for dark matter–nucleus scattering, will continue to take data and probe more deeply into parameter space, but at the same time other search strategies are maturing, and entirely new and innovative approaches are emerging. This encompasses for instance indirect searches for dark matter, which are becoming increasingly broad and powerful, experiments at megawatt-scale proton beams including next-generation neutrino oscillation experiments, and novel methods to search for deviations from Standard Model predictions using atomic physics methods. The goal of the Scientific Program is to explore synergies between these emerging probes of new physics and the established ones. This will be achieved by bringing together many of the world experts in the various fields and creating an atmosphere that fosters collaboration.
