Description

The origin of the baryon asymmetry of the universe is one of the main open questions in fundamental science. The solution to this puzzle requires physics Beyond the SM (BSM) that the LHC is probably sensitive to. TeV scale baryogenesis mechanisms typically require a strong first order phase transition, which can be responsible for setting the dark matter abundance in asymmetric DM scenarios, and which source gravitational waves in the frequency range testable at the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). The aim of this program is to bring together experts from the fields of collider physics, model building, baryogenesis and phase transitions, dark matter and gravitational wave physics.

Topics which we plan to discuss are:

  • Implications of LHC run 2 for TeV scale baryogenesis scenarios
  • CP violation and EDM constraints
  • Connections of baryogenesis, flavour physics, and dark matter
  • New ideas to probe dark sectors
  • Gravitational wave signals from baryogenesis models
  • Complementarity of LHC and LISA for probing the nature of the electroweak phase transition
  • Novel mechanisms for DM and matter antimatter asymmetry generation
  • Probes of new physics with gravitational waves

We aim for a relaxed schedule with up to two talks per day, leaving ample time for discussion and collaboration among the participants. In case of questions, please feel free to contact the organisers:
